My understating was that the specimen was captured as a type of participant, (please confirm if this is correct or if it is captured using the specimen element not included however in the template).In the first case the description of the particpiant element is probably misleading " A participant SHALL have an id, addr, and telecom. Additionally, the participant MAY have a playingEntity to capture a person's name and a scopingEntity to capture the organization." Additional ambiguity from the examples (there is a specimen element not included in the specified template; there are fixed values not used in the examples; the performer is managed as participant (PRF) and not as performer....Some further explanations are probably needed.(1) Moreover, the value set to be used for specimens and the binding to this value set is missing.
