Description
OcDeC - Orchestra Core Data Elements for COVID-19

The ORCHESTRA Core Data Set comprises of all concepts identified as having been and being collected across at least two clinical studies in the project.
In its current form, it contains a curated version of all data elements that are used as part of the "Long Term Sequelae" (LTS) and "Fragile Population" (FP) studies (including Genomics variables defined by WP6), as well as the Healthcare worker study cohort (WP5) and the Luxembourg study (WP3). Both the LTS and FP studies are using REDCap eCRFs for data collection and data management.

Categories
Variables are grouped into categories that were defined by clinical partners of the respective studies. The categories correspond to the instruments used as part of the eCRFs.

Study-specific Data Sets
Shown as well are data that are defined and used only within one clinical study in ORCHESTRA, including:
  • Long-Term Sequeale study (WP2) data variables
  • Fragile Population (WP4) study data variables
  • Healthcare Workers (WP5) studies' data variables
  • General Population (WP3), specifically the Luxembourg study data variables
Terminologies
International standard terminologies and classifications were used to semantically represent variables and value sets.
These include codes from:
  • SNOMED CT    (for clinical concepts; symptoms, diseases, etc.)
  • LOINC          (for laboratory values, documents, dates,...)
  • ATC                  (for medications)
  • ICD-10              (for diseases and disorders)
  • NCI Thesaurus (for genomics variables)
  • ISBT-128          (for plasma products)
Rationale
ORCHESTRA project
The ORCHESTRA project is funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program and unites 26 partners from 15 countries in the goal to gain valuable scientific insights to fight the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic based on the analysis of ongoing, prospective and retrospective study data.
