The ART-DECOR Bulding Block Repository for CDA Release 2

What is it?

This is the ART-DECOR Building Block Repository (BBR) for HL7's CDA Release 2 standard artefacts.

What does it provide?

It offers
  • All value sets associated with the original standard, can be found here. The value sets all come with the corresponding HL7 OIDs from the HL7 OID registry.
  • All pre-defined HL7 CDA R2 template prototypes drawn from the original standard, i.e. complete model/MIF-derived set of DECOR templates, can be found here. The template prototypes all come with the HL7 OID 2.16.840.1.113883.10.12 hl7-templates-prototypes.

How can it be used?

This is a Building Block Repository (BBR) that is primarily intended to be used in DECOR based specifications. For example, to use or refer a template or a value set in a DECOR-based project, simply use @ref to link to the BBR artefact. Fixed attribute contextConductionInd in almost all templates. This attribute SHALL always be optional, and have fixed value 'true' except for element entryRelationship. For entryRelationship there's only a default value 'true'

Added Structured documents Technical Committee (sdtc) namespace and the elements defined with that. See http://gforge.hl7.org/svn/strucdoc/trunk/CDA_SDTC/infrastructure . The SDTC extensions occur almost everywhere so the complete set of existing templates has been duplicated and updated to include the SDTC extensions where relevant. This way the whole chain of templates is consistent.
Fixed a bug in recordTarget/patientRole/patient/guardian where the classCode inadvertently was required instead of optional.

Scripted update of references by name (element/@contains, include/@ref, vocabulary/@valueSet) to references by id. References by name are strongly discouraged as they get ambiguous quickly.
