Description
The ClinicalGenomicStatementOverallInterpretation template is a sub-template of ClinicalGenomicStatement (CGS). It is used by the OverallInterpretationSection to carry the overall interpretation of all genomic observations in a GTR document. The overall interpretation is represented by the InterpretivePhenotype part of the CGS. Use the GenomicObservationsOrganizer template to have references to genomic observations in the GTR document that were the basis of deducing the overall interpretation.
In this way, the overall interpretation code is not presented to the parsing application as a dissociated item lacking contextual data; rather it is possible for decision support application to trace the evidences leading to this piece of information. Note that the representing the algorithm used to compute the overall interpretation is out of scope for this standard, however, it is recommended to identify the algorithm in the methodCode of the InterpretivePhenotype portion of this template.
